Mom's Easy Meatloaf

8 steps
Prep:10minCook:1h
It's my mom's recipe, but I changed it up a little bit. I don't always want to take the time to chop onions so I use the Lipton onion soup mix & I added the Worcestershire sauce. We normally serve with mashed potatoes and corn.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl put the ground beef and all other ingredients. Mix with hands, the best way, until mixed thoroughly.
Step 3
If too dry, add a little bit of milk. If too moist, add a little bit more of the bread crumbs.
Step 4
Put parchment paper in loaf pan for easy removal or you can leave in pan. I prefer to remove it so it's not sitting in the grease that's left in the bottom.
Step 5
Add meat mixture to the loaf pan, gently press meat down and shape like a loaf of bread, rub ketchup all over the top.
Step 6
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Drain off grease. Return to oven for another 30 minutes. Drain grease again. *I use an empty coffee can to drain grease in.
Step 7
If the ketchup on top hasn't browned any, I'll turn the broiler on and heat until it's a little browned. Usually 30-40 seconds.
Step 8
Remove from pan onto plate, cut and serve.
