Instructions
Step 1
Cut the halloumi into four 1cm (/2in) wide slices then each slice into lcm (/2 in) strips - you should get about twelve strips in total.
Step 2
Mix the cornflour and peri-peri seasoning in a small dish.
Step 3
Pat the halloumi dry with kitchen towel then pop each strip into the seasoned cornflour, ensuring all the sides are thoroughly coated.
Step 4
Spray a frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and place over a low heat. Add the halloumi and cook very gently for about 15 minutes, turning them so they cook on all sides, until golden - don't cook them over a high heat as the flour will burn.
Step 5
Garnish with chopped spring onion and serve with your choice of accompaniment.
