rinsed and trimmed

divided, 1/4 cup for browning the chicken and 1/4 cup for the sauce

1 teaspoonolive oil

2 teaspoonsgarlic
minced, divided, 1 teaspoon for the chicken bites and 1 teaspoon for the asparagus and sauce

1 teaspoonitalian seasoning
or herbes de provence

1 tablespoonhot sauce
optional, we used sriracha

½ cuplow-sodium chicken broth

0.5juice of lemon

1 tablespoonparsley
minced

crushed red chili pepper flakes
optional

lemon

This is a favorite I keep on rotation for busy weeknights! The whole family loves it. I double the sauce, and I don't bother blanching the asparagus (not even the thick ones). I cut the asparagus up to bite-size pieces and saute it until it's done to my preference.
Also, if I don't have the time to cook 2 batches of chicken I just use paper towels to soak up the liquid from the chicken as it cooks so it's able to brown a bit easier.
I love Sriracha, but my kids don't, so I drizzle it on my own plate of food.
