Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C

Cook the dates with the hot water and baking soda on the stove until the dates have softened, then blend until smooth and set aside until cool

Mix the wet ingredients with the cooled date paste, then mix in the dry ingredients
Step 4
Transfer to your cake pan brushed with oil and bake for 30-35 minutes and let cool before slicing

Decorated with date syrup and pistachios
