Step 1
Dice the spam into small pieces.

In a non-stick skillet, cook the Spam over medium heat until they are slightly browned on all sides.

Add minced garlic and saute until fragrant.

Add mirin, soy sauce and sugar. You can also add gochujang for some spice if you'd like!

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce is well combined.

Continue to cook the sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a glaze. Once thickened, remove it from the heat and set it aside.

Serve the spam over steamed rice, alongside a fried egg, roasted seaweed, vegetables, or in a salad. It's a versatile dish that can be enjoyed in various ways.
