Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
In butter in skillet, cook onions about 5 minutes, or until just tender.
Step 3
Arrange in 8" pie plate; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Carefully break eggs over onions; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Sprinkle with the breadcrumbs.
Step 6
Top with cheese slices.
Step 7
Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, or until eggs are of the desired firmness.
