washed & picked over
2.5 quartswater
6 cupschicken broth
0.5 poundBacon
diced
1 poundGround Beef
browned & crumbled
2Onions
peeled & coarsely chopped
1Bell Pepper
seeded & chopped
1 cupcelery
chopped
2Tomatoes
seeded & Chopped
1 cupCilantro
stemmed & chopped
1 x 12 ozBeer
bottle
2 tspsalt
1 tspblack pepper
1 Tbspminced garlic
1bay leaf
¼ tspLiquid Smoke
6whole Jalapenos
Instructions
Step 1
Place rinsed beans in stockpot with water & chicken broth.
Step 2
Add bacon & cooked ground beef & bring to a boil.
Step 3
Skim off foam & reduce heat to a simmer.
Step 4
Let simmer until tender. (About 3 – 4 hours)
Step 5
Stir in all remaining ingredients & cook for 30 minutes.
