Instructions
Step 1
Prep your turkey and pour over the jar of Korean bbq sauce. Add oyster sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Rub the sauce thoroughly all over turkey, inside the cavity and under the skin. Let this marinate while you prep the stuffing and vegetables.
Step 2
Stuffing: Soak the bean thread noodles and wood ear mushroom in warm water, then prep all your veggies. Drain the noodles/mushroom and cut with scissors. Add chopped onions, celery and carrot, chicken bouillon powder, sugar, oyster sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and eggs. Mix well. Stuff turkey.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine softened butter, garlic and onion powder. Mix and rub half the mixture under the turkey skin at the breast and where ever you can reach. Melt the other half and pour this over the turkey. Brush on the marinade all over the turkey.
Step 4
Add vegetables and chicken stock or pineapple juice to the bottom of the pan. This will help keep the turkey juicy while cooking and serve as a baste during the cooking process.
Step 5
Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees. The cooking time is approx 13 minutes per pound. Remove foil, baste the turkey every hour and re-cover.
