Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.

Add the onion and chipotle pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes until onion begins to soften. Add the garlic and oregano. Cook for about one minute until fragrant. Add the black beans, tomato paste, and water.
Step 3
Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes until tomato paste has fully dissolved and the beans are warmed through. Taste and season as needed.
