Ingredients

5chicken thighs
4 Tbspolive oil
divided in half
2 tspsalt
2 tsppepper
2 tspgarlic powder
2 tsplemon pepper
2 tsponion powder
2 tspsmoked paprika
2 tspItalian seasoning
1shallot
diced
3 clovegarlic

1 cupwhite wine
1 cupheavy cream
¼ cupchicken broth
¼ cupparmesan cheese

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350
Step 2
In a small bowl mix together the seasonings. Coat the chicken thighs in olive oil then season. In a cast iron skillet add olive oil then sear the chicken skin side down for 5 to 7 minutes. If thighs are large flip over and sear for an additional 3-5 minutes if smaller skip this step.
Step 3
Remove the chicken and leave about a tsp of the grease and sauté the shallots for 3 minutes then add in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Deglaze with the white wine and let it reduce for about 5 minutes then pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a simmer then grate in Parmesan cheese. Once the cheese is melted add in the fresh squeezed lemon juice then honey. Taste and add more honey if sauce is too bitter. Let this simmer for a few minutes. At this point you can strain the sauce and add back to the skillet or keep the shallots in there if you choose.
Step 4
Add the chicken back to the skillet along with a few lemon slices and smashed cloves of garlic. Cook in the oven for about 10 minutes then brush chicken with melted butter and cook for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 5
This paired perfectly with mashed potatoes and broccolini.
