Salt & Pepper Tofu

✨INGREDIENTS
- Spice Mix:
1 Tsp Sea Salt
¾ Tsp Ground White Pepper
½ Tsp Garlic Powder
½ Tsp Chinese Five Spice
½ Tsp Brown Sugar
¼ Tsp Sichuan Peppercorn
- Tofu For Air Frying:
280g Extra Firm Tofu, cubed
2 Tsp Sesame Oil
3 Tbsp Cornstarch
Half above spice mix
- For Sauteing:
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/2 Onion, roughly chopped
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
3 Spring Onions, roughly chopped
1 Red Chilli, thinly sliced and seeds removed
1 Green Chilli, thinly sliced and seeds removed
- Garnish:
Sesame Seeds
Coriander
✨METHOD
- Preheart air fryer to 180°C.
- Prepare the salt and pepper spice mix by combining all ingredients in a pestle and mortar. Set aside.
- In a container, add your tofu, sesame oil, cornstarch and half the spice mix. Put the container lid on and shake to coat. - Put tofu into the preheated airfryer and cook for 12 mins (shaking every 3 mins).
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high. Add the onions and saute for 2 min. Add the garlic, spring onions, red and green chillies and saute for a further 5 mins.
- When cooked, add the tofu to the frying pan with the veggies, with a sprinkle more of the spice mix. Stir to combine.
