420 gmCanned Chickpeas

½ tspCumin Seeds

1Bay Leaves

1star anise

Cinnamon Sticks

2Onions
finely chopped

2 Tbspginger garlic paste

1 Tbspchilli powder

0.5 TbspTurmeric Powder

1 Tbspcoriander powder

0.5 TbspGaram Masala Powder

½ Tbspcumin powder

salt

0.5Canned Tomatoes
or puree of 2 Tomatoes

½ cupWater
Hot

4 Tbspfresh cream

½ Tbspghee

Kasuri Methi

Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in a wok
Step 2
Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, star anise and cinnamon stick to this and stir for about 5 seconds.
Step 3
Add finely chopped onion to this
Step 4
Add ginger garlic paste and stir
Step 5
Once the onion starts turning golden brown add chilli, turmeric, coriander, garam masala and cumin powder along with a pinch of salt
Step 6
Mix this well and then add the tomato puree
Step 7
Cook this until the raw smell disappears.
Step 8
Add some water, cover and cook for 2 mins.
Step 9
Add chickpeas without draining. Mix well.
Step 10
Add salt as needed for taste.
Step 11
Cover and cook for about 5 minutes
Step 12
Once cooked add fresh cream and ghee and then blend them well
Step 13
Add some kasuri methi and serve
