Apple and Date Oat Bars

We chatted about a lot of things and the back to school topic came up of course! 📚 ⭐️We both think you can take a bit of control of the lunchbox if you’ve a few handy snacks stashed in the freezer. ❤️SAVE to try before the kids head back to school in a few weeks! These are Healthy, Cheap, Easy, Freeze, Kid approved! These are my Easy Oat Bars - 2 ways!! Apple and Date Oat Bars 180g oats (1¾ cups) 1 apple grated 8 dates, chopped into pieces 2 tablespoons chia seeds 100ml milk (½ cup) 2 eggs 30g honey 1 tsp vanilla extract/essence Preheat the oven 180ºC fan. Line a 9 inch baking tin with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl stir together the oats, grated apple, chopped dates, chia seeds. Whisk the milk, eggs, honey and vanilla then add to the mixing bowl. Stir to combine then transfer into the baking tray, smooth the top with a fork. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cook and slice. Banana, Coconut and Chocolate Oat Bars 180g oats (1 ¾ cup) 60g brown sugar (½ cup) 1/2 tsp cinnamon 30g dark choc chips (¼ cup) 20g coconut (1.5 tablespoon) 1 mashed banana 100ml milk (½ cup) 2 eggs Preheat the oven 180ºC fan. Line a 9 inch baking tin with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl stir together the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark chocolate chips. Whisk the milk, eggs, and mashed banana and add to the mixing bowl. Stir to combine then transfer into the baking tin, smooth the top with a fork. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool and slice. Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven 180ºC fan. Line a 9 inch baking tin with parchment paper.
