Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400. Prepare a 9×13 casserole dish with butter.
Step 2
Cook and drain 1 box of elbow macaroni pasta. Drain well.
Step 3
Pour cooked and drained macaroni into the prepared casserole dish.
Step 4
Top with an entire block of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir cheese into pasta.
Step 5
Cut the stick of butter into pats and place on top.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, mix evaporated milk, salt, pepper, Tabasco, and egg. Pour the bowl over the dish. Add a splash of whole milk if it's needed; the liquid should almost reach the top of the dish. Sprinkle paprika over the top.
Step 7
Use a baking sheet to catch any drips. Bake for 45 minutes at 400 degrees.
