TO SERVE
Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in the large pot and fry onions until softening but not browning.
Step 2
Add boiled water, stock, pearl barley, and carrots and cook until carrots are softened.
Step 3
Add celery and potatoes and cook until pearl barley is soft.
Step 4
Serve with buttered toast.
