The Orzo Clusterfuck
8 steps
Cook:1h 20min
A mix of orzo, minced meat and caramelized veggies mistreated by some cheese and olive oil.
You can change the meat, veggies and pasta and still make a beautiful dish, this is just one idea but get creative.

Instructions
Step 1
Dice all vegetables (except tomatoes) and throw them in a medium-hot pan one by one, start with the denser ones so they cook longer and have time to soften.

Mushrooms100g
Step 2
Remember to keep adding oil and mixing as you go with this recipe.
extra virgin olive oil
Step 3
Once you are happy with its caramelization, keeping in mind you will keep it on the stove some more, you can go ahead and reduce the heat to medium and add the minced meat. I usually wait around 30mins from the time i started chopping.

Step 4
Add in all of your spices, garlic and tomatoe puree now and mix well.
garlic cloves4

Step 5
Start cooking the orzo alongside the mix. Don't forget to salt it!
orzo250g
Step 6
When the orzo is done, the meat/veggie mix should be ready, but of course you can keep it longer if you arn't happy with the meat's cooking yet.
Step 7
Once you are happy with how everything is cooked, you can mix it all inside a pot, and add in some diced sun dried tomatoes.
Step 8
You can now serve and add the cheeses, salt and olive oil if you want.
extra virgin olive oil
salt
grated mozarella
