When I'm craving some easy and delicious, this is now a go to for me! In under 30 minutes you can recreate this Air Fryer Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken and you won't be able to stop eating it.
The chicken is marinated in a delicious mixture, then air fried until golden and crispy. The crispy basil gives it a nice additional layer of freshness and flavor and the spice mixture elevates everything even further.

Instructions
Step 1
Start by slicing your chicken thighs into small bite size pieces.

Step 2
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.

Step 3
In a large bowl add your chicken bites along with soy sauce, ginger powder, garlic powder, sugar, rice wine vinegar, Chinese 5 spice, pepper, MSG, and your egg whites. Mix everything together.

Step 4
Drop each coated chicken bite into some corn starch. Shake excess and arrange in a single layer in your air fryer. Repeat with each piece.

Step 5
Spray with a little oil and air fry for 10 minutes, shaking and spraying again halfway through.

Step 6
After 10 minutes, add your basil and air fry for another 3-5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked all the way through.

Step 7
In a small bowl mix together your spice mixture of Chinese 5 spice, pepper, salt, sugar and MSG.
