Instructions
Step 1
Start by mashing a banana in an oven-safe dish that fits within the air fryer. Next, blend the dry components like oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon—plus protein powder if it's part of your regimen.
Step 2
Introduce the milk and stir up a thick paste with the dry ingredients, then fold in your preferred “mix-in” options: anything from chopped nuts and chocolate to dried fruits and berries, or even a dollop of nut butter or yoghurt. Give everything one final mix before cooking in the air fryer at 180C for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 3
"Bake" function on an air fryer "works the best" for cooking oats, although it's not a necessity. It's important to monitor your oats after 10 minutes to prevent them from overcooking.
Step 4
Typically, baked oats following this recipe should be ready in approximately 12 minutes, but this can vary depending on the ingredients mixed in. After cooking, allow the oats to cool for a short while before garnishing with extra toppings and enjoying your meal.
