7-Layer Bars

7 steps
Prep:35minCook:25min
7-Layer Bars, also known as Hello Dollies or Magic Bars, and a dessert built from seven different layers of dessert - graham crackers, butter, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, and sweetened condensed milk. But I'm making these healthier today, which means an oat and coconut flour crust, homemade condensed milk, and allulose dark chocolate. The result is a delicious and healthy bar that's refined sugar free and gluten free, and perfect for Christmas time!

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350F, and line an 8" square pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
Add the evaporated milk and maple syrup to a medium pot over medium heat. Bring to a slow boil, and allow it to simmer until it reduces by half, about 25 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix together the crust ingredients - oat flour, coconut flour, salt, cinnamon, melted coconut oil, and maple syrup. Evenly press the mixture into the pan. The dough should feel slightly crumbly, and you should have just enough dough to barely cover the base of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool for at least 5 minutes
