4 steps

Air frying burgers is a real game changer! So often poultry dries out in the oven before it is cooked through but not with the air fryer. This air fryer turkey burger is really tender and juicy, and are ready in no time at all!

Instructions
Step 1
Start by cracking an egg into a large mixing bowl and beat it with a fork. Then add in your 250g of fresh turkey mince, a teaspoon of garlic granules, a teaspoon of onion granules, a teaspoon of paprika and 45g of breadcrumbs to the mixing bowl. Season generously with sea salt and ground black pepper then mix well with a spatula, spoon or using your hands.
Step 2
Next, divide the seasoned mince in half and shape into two burger patties. Place your burger patties directly into the air fryer basket, leaving the crisper plates in. Space them out evenly to allow the hot air to circulate. Then cook at 190c for around 12 minutes, or until the burgers are cooked thoroughly and crispy outside. Turn your turkey burgers over half way through the cook. Do not be afraid to open your air fryer during the cook as it will get back up to temperature very quickly, unlike a traditional convection oven.
Step 3
I recommend using air fryer racks so that you can cook your burgers on the top layer and the chips underneath.
Step 4
Carefully remove your burgers from the basket. Then assemble your air fryer turkey burgers in a toasted bun with lettuce, sliced red onion and your favourite burger sauce. I like mine with a spicy mayo. And serve with a side of air fried potato wedges, chunky chips or French fries of course!
