Instructions

Step 1
Marinate the Prawns:

In a bowl, mix prawns with 1 tbsp light soy sauce, white pepper, and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

Make the Sauce:

In a small bowl, mix honey, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, remaining light soy sauce, sugar, and Shaoxing wine. Stir well.

Cook the Prawns:

Heat oil in a wok or pan over medium-high heat. Add prawns and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics:

In the same pan, add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Coat the Prawns in Sauce:

Pour in the sauce mixture and let it bubble for 1 minute. Return the prawns to the pan, toss well, and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens and coats the prawns.

Finish & Serve:

Drizzle with sesame oil, sprinkle with spring onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
