Instructions
Step 1
Get the noodles ready:
Follow the directions on the package to prepare the chow mein noodles. After draining, set away.
Step 2
To marinate the chicken:
Combine the sliced chicken, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and a dash of salt and pepper in a bowl. Give it ten minutes to marinate.
Step 3
To stir-fry the chicken:
Place a wok over medium-high heat and heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir-fry the marinated chicken for four to five minutes, or until it is cooked through. Take out and put aside.
Step 4
To cook the vegetables:
Add another tablespoon of oil to the same skillet. The bell pepper, carrot, cabbage, onion, and garlic should all be sautéed for three to four minutes until they are crisp-tender.
Step 5
Mix Everything Together:
Return the chicken and cooked noodles to the wok. Add the remaining oyster sauce, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Mix everything until it's evenly coated. Add 1 tsp cornflour and 2 tbsp water to the skillet if you want a richer sauce.
Step 6
Serve:
Add sesame seeds or chopped green onions as a garnish. Enjoy it hot!
