1 cubebeef stock cubes
or chicken

3 cupswater

1.5kgpotatoes
Boiled and mashed

½ cupmilk

¼ cupgrated cheddar cheese

In a large pot add some oil. When hot add the onions and sauté till soft. Add the garlic and sauté 2 minutes. Add the celery, carrots and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the mince and sauté till all the liquid evaporates and it becomes dry. Then add the salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, tomato paste and sauté 2 minutes. Add the flour and sauté 4 minutes. Pour in the water and stock cubes. Bring to a boil. Then make the flame slow, cover with a lid and let it cook for 30 minutes or till your mince is cooked.
Step 3
While it's cooking mix all the ingredients for the topping and keep ready. Preheat your oven to 200 C. Assemble- pour your mince into a large baking dish. Add the mashed potatoe mixture evenly over the top. Spread to smoothen. With the help of a fork make a pattern on top. Just drag your fork up and down in one direction. Pop it into your hot oven for 25-30 minutes. Remove and enjoy:))
