Instructions

Step 1
Defrost frozen meat in the refrigerator the day before you plan to cook the meatloaf.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 350 F (177 C).
Step 3
Wash and finely chop the parsley leaves and fine stems. Discard any woody stems.
Step 4
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
Step 5
Add the ground meats, garlic, onion, parsley, eggs, breadcrumbs, shredded carrot, and spices to a mixing bowl. Mash and mix the ingredients to form a paste.
Step 6
Shape the mixture into a free-form loaf on a sheet tray or press it into a loaf pan. Bake until the meat is fully cooked, about 45 minutes. Use a kitchen thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 160 F (71 C).
Step 7
Let the loaf cool for 10 minutes, then slice into strips about the thickness of two adult fingers pressed together. Set aside a strip for baby and season yours with salt to taste. Keep warm while baby's meatloaf cools.
