Pound
them to a coarse texture

1 TbspGhee

1 tspMustard seeds

1 tspJeera

2Dry red chilli

½ tspHing

Rasam masala

1tomato
Chopped, big

½ tspturmeric powder

1 TbspRasam powder

½ cuprice
Soaked

¼ cupTuvar dal
Soaked

4 cupsWater

1 tspJaggery

to taste

Instructions
Step 1
1. In a pressure cooker add ghee, mustard, jeera, dry red chilli & curry leaves
Step 2
2. Then add crushed garlic, tomato, tumeric and sauté for a few mins
Step 3
3. Add the soaked dal & rice, tamarind water, water, jaggery & salt to taste
Step 4
4. Pressure cook on slow flame for 15-20 mins for 5-7 whistles
Step 5
5. Open the cooker, mash it a little. Add hot water to adjust the consisten
