Instructions
Step 1
Cut two slits in each sausage. Sauté the Italian sausage on medium heat in a covered pan with olive oil
Step 2
When nearly finished, about 10 minutes remove from heat and put on a plate
Step 3
Drain most of the oil and add a little olive oil. Then sauté the onion until soft and add garlic. Sauté for a minute.
Step 4
Add rinsed great northern beans and crushed tomatoes. Stir. Add a small bunch of kale and return sausage to the pan. Add salt to taste and a small amount of Italian seasoning. Add basil.
Step 5
Cover and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. Then serve.
