Instructions

Step 1
In a 3 qt stockpot or other medium sized pot, heat the ghee/oil over medium heat. Once it's hot add the onion, garlic and ginger. Cook, stirring often until the onion is translucent, about 6 minutes
Step 2
Stirring constantly add the liquid, lentils, spices and salt. Bring to a low boil, then turn heat to low. Cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes or until lentils are very tender.
