Instructions

Step 1
1. Start by heating a very large pot over medium-high heat and add in 1/2 pound of lean ground beef, and 1/2 pound of mild Italian sausage.
Step 2
2. Break up your ground beef and sausage a bit, and add in your chopped onion and chopped garlic. Continue browning your meat until completely cooked through, breaking it up as it cooks.
Step 3
3. Once your meat is cooked, add in your can of crushed tomatoes, 1 Tbsp garlic powder, 1/2 Tbsp onion powder, 1/2 Tbsp Italian seasoning, and 1 tsp oregano. Mix well.
Step 4
4. When your tomato sauce starts to boil slightly, add in 6 cups of beef broth and bring it to a boil again.
Step 5
5. Add in your broken up sheets of lasagna, and stir to ensure they are submerged in liquid.
Step 6
6. Cover with a lid and let your soup continue to cook 15-20 minutes, or until pasta is done, stirring occasionally.
Step 7
7. When your pasta is cooked through, add in your chopped spinach and mix. Let it cook uncovered for 1-2 minutes.
Step 8
8. Turn off the heat and stir in 1 cup of milk, 1 cup reduced fat mozzarella, and 1/2 cup grated parmesan.
Step 9
9. Give it a taste and add salt and pepper to preference. 10. Portion out into your meal containers and enjoy!
