390 gramscanned tomato
diced
370 gramstomate frito
4 ouncesbeer
415 gramscanned brown beans
rinsed and drained
165 gramswhite beans
rinsed and drained
1red bell pepper
chopped
1white onion
med-large, peeled and chopped
Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot, heat oil.
Step 2
Add ground beef. Cook until all the moisture is gone and meat starts to brown.
Step 3
Add garlic, stir in well and cook 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add salt, paprika, oregano, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and stir well for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add diced canned tomatoes, tomate frito, water, and beer.
Step 6
Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes. Add water if needed to keep a soupy consistency.
Step 7
Add red pepper, onions and beans. Bring the chili back to a boil for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Check the seasoning (add more cayenne if extra zing is desired) remove from heat and serve.
Step 9
Makes about 2 quarts.
