Simple asian inspired steak with bok choy, onions and rice

Instructions

Step 1
Put round steak in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle it with all seasoning listed (the measurements are realy tonyour taste) and potato starch. Mix them all around and once well mixed let soak

Step 2
Add water to a pot that you can cover. Bring to a boil ( you can go to the next steps while you wait

In a large cast iron, once hot, add butter. Once melted add bok choy and seasoning. Cook until wilted and slightly translucent. Transfer to a clean bowl.

Step 4
In the same cast iron add the onion and a small amount of lard and seasame seed oil. Cook on medium-high until seared and cooked. It should still have a good bite to it. Remove to bowl with bok choy (check your water it should be boiling now)

Add rice to water and reduce heat to low and cover. Set timer for 15mins. Once 15mins has past. Fluff rice and move off the burner and set a 10min timer

Cut steaks into half lb steaks. Add lard to cast iron, set heat to high anf wait for the pan to smoke. Once smoking, add one steak to the pan and sear for 1min a side. While it is searing add soy sauce to a plate or sheet pan. Once you have seared both sides remove steak and put in soy sauce to cool (the cooler the soy sauce the better) and flip to coat. After 30seconds add back to hot pan for second searing. Again sear on each side for an additional min each side and the remove to a plate.

Once 10min rice time is complete add seasame seed oil and coconut aminos and fluff

Slice steak against the grain into half inch strips
Step 9
Put rice on plate and top with veggies and steak. Then serve
