Instructions

Step 1
Marinade the Chicken and keep in the fridge, add 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder for extra colour(optional)
Step 2
Slice the onions and cut tomato into small qtrs. Fry onions till translucent add the tomatoes followed by all the masalas. Cover & cook till the tomatoes are soft (approx 10 mins). Remove & cool and then grind to a fine paste.
Step 3
Heat the oil and cook the chicken on a high flame till it is even medium brown all over. Remove the Chicken from the oil.
Step 4
In the leftover oil, add 2 tbs water and the ginger garlic paste cook till the rawness of garlic is gone. Add the gravy masalas and cook till the oil separates. Add the tomato onion paste and cook till oil separates again.
Step 5
Add the Chicken back in mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Make a paste of the Cashew and milk. Add the yogurt followed by the cashew milk paste.
Step 6
Cook till the gravy thickens. Add a bit of water to adjust consistancy. Sprinkle the finishing garam masala, the kasoori methi powder and add the butter.
Step 7
Cover & smoke the gravy using coal + ghee
