Instructions

Step 1
Prepare Potatoes: Parboil them in salted water for 8-10 minutes. Let cool. Grate them raw and squeeze out all moisture

Mix & Shape: In a bowl, combine grated potatoes, egg, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan. Mix well and shape into oval patties.
Step 3
Freeze: Place the patties on a lined baking sheet and freeze for 15 minutes to 1 hour to help them hold their shape.
Step 4
Fry: Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat (around 350°F). Shallow-fry the hash browns for 4–6 minutes per side, until deeply golden brown and crispy.
Step 5
Serve: Drain on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate. Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.
