Instructions
Step 1
I heat oil in a saucepan, stir in the tomatoes, add salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and bay leaf, then pour in water and milk.
Step 2
While it’s heating up, I prepare the meatballs: I mix the ground meat with the egg, salt, pepper, cinnamon, grated garlic, grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, oregano, and basil, then shape them into small ping-pong-sized balls and place them on a sheet of parchment paper.
Step 3
I submerge them in the tomato sauce that has come to a boil, and once they’re all in, I gently shake the pot so the meatballs are completely covered in tomato sauce.
Step 4
I simmer them over low heat for about 40 minutes.
