Instructions

Step 1
Bring salted water to a boil, cook the pasta for 7–9 minutes until al dente, then drain while reserving some pasta water.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the garlic, heat oil in a pan over medium heat, and gently cook the garlic without browning.
Step 3
Increase the heat, add the beef, cook while stirring until browned, then reduce heat and cook until tender.
Step 4
Add the cooking cream and bring to a simmer, then add the melted cheese and stir until fully melted and the sauce thickens slightly, then season with lemon zest and juice, salt, and black pepper.
Step 5
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well, adding a little reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
Step 6
Serve immediately and top with grated hard cheese and optionally extra black pepper.
