Instructions

Step 1
1. Prepare the beef.
Step 2
Pat the roast dry and season it with turmeric, rosemary, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
Step 3
2. Brown the beef — optional but recommended.
Step 4
Heat the garlic-infused olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef for about 2–3 minutes per side. This adds a lot of flavor.
Step 5
3. Add everything to the slow cooker.
Step 6
Put the potatoes and carrots on the bottom. Place the beef on top and pour in the bone broth.
Step 7
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours, until the beef is very tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
Step 8
Add the green beans during the last 30–45 minutes of cooking so they stay tender without becoming mushy.
Step 9
6. Finish and serve.
Step 10
Remove the beef, let it rest for about 5 minutes, then slice or shred it. Serve with the potatoes, carrots, and green beans, spooning a little of the cooking liquid over everything.
