Twisted Apple Pie Rolls
Soft, fluffy twisted rolls filled with quick stovetop apple pie filling, baked until golden, then drizzled with a simple vanilla sugar glaze. Best enjoyed warm.

Ingredients

500gbread flour
180mlmilk
warm
120g5% Greek yogurt
1egg
25gsugar
1 tspdry yeast
1 tspsalt
1 tspvanilla
80gsalted butter
melted
Apple Pie Filling
600gGranny Smith apples
peeled & diced as small as possible
50gsalted butter
65gbrown sugar
50gmaple syrup
1 tspcinnamon
½ tspapple pie spice
optional
salt
0.5juice of lemon
10gcornstarch
15mlwater
2 tspvanilla
sugar glaze
120gPowdered sugar
1 Tbspmilk
½ tspvanilla

Instructions
Step 1
Knead dough for 12–15 min until soft, smooth & slightly sticky (use speed 2). Don’t skip the long kneading.
Step 2
Divide straight into 12 balls, cover & let rise for 1 hour.
Step 3
Meanwhile, melt the butter and add apples, sugar, maple, cinnamon, spice & salt. Cook 3–4 min.
Step 4
Add cornstarch mixed with water and cook another 1–2 min until thickened. Remove from heat, add lemon & vanilla and cool completely.
Step 5
Roll out each ball, add filling, fold, cut & twist as shown in the video. Let rest for 20 min.
Step 6
Brush with egg yolk + a splash of milk and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 min until golden.
Step 7
Cool slightly, drizzle with glaze & enjoy warm.
