Instructions

Pickling Carrots

Step 1
Do this the night before if possible
Step 2
Combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt in a pot. Bring to a boil.

After it's boiled to the point where both the salt and sugar have dissolved, poor the mixture into the bowl with the carrots.
Step 4
Place the carrots in a large bowl.
Step 5
Let this mixture sit until you're ready to use it (best if it's cool).

Sandwich

Step 6
Season the flank steak with the bamboo chef seasoning.
Step 7
Spritz the soy sauce onto the steak and rub it in with the seasoning.

Sear both sides of the steak on high heat for 5-7 minutes per side.
Step 9
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes.
Step 10
Pull off the cilantro leaves for the sandwiches.

Toast buns on skillet if desired.
Step 12
Mix the sriracha and mayo to create the spicy mayo.
Step 13
Once the steak is done resting, thinly slice it (1/4 inch thick).
Step 14
Assemble the sandwich by placing the meat on the bottom bun, spreading the mayo on the top bun, and putting the carrots & cilantro on top of the meat. Put the top bun on the sandwich.
