Instructions
Step 1
Add beef and onion to cold sautee pan
Step 2
Cook on medium heat and crumble beef to reach complete crumbilization
Step 3
When beef is crumbled and mostly cooked, add garlic and bell pepper and sautee for 2-3 minutes
Step 4
Add 1 cup of water to deglaze pan, scraping up fond from bottom of pan
Step 5
Add ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, and salt and pepper, to taste (if using cayenne, add now also)
Step 6
Add 1/2-1 cup water and bring to a simmer until water has evaporated and the sauce has thickened, about 30-45 minutes
Step 7
Serve on hamburger bun and enjoy!
