Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter in a skillet or sauté pan over low heat.
Step 2
Mix together the egg, egg yolk, milk or cream, sugar, and cinnamon.
Step 3
Dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture long enough for some of the liquid to soak in.
Step 4
Use a spatula to transfer it to the pan.
Step 5
Cook on one side until golden brown, then flip over to cook the other side, adding more butter if necessary.
Step 6
Serve with maple syrup.
