Instructions

Step 1
Heat the water to just before boiling, add the dried fish flakes and simmer for 1-2 minutes over low heat. Turn off heat and leave the fish flakes to sink to the bottom of the pan then strain.
Step 2
Heat the dashi stock in a saucepan. Just before it comes to a boil, add the miso and stir until completely dissolved.
Step 3
Soak the wakame seaweed in water until soft. Drain and cut into bite-size pieces.
Step 4
Hold the tofu in your hand and cut into thin 1/2 in square pieces. Add the tofu then the wakame seaweed to the soup.
Step 5
Heat thoroughly , taking care not to let it boil.
