½ cuprice vinegar
½ cupwater
¼ cupgranulated sugar
1 cupEnglish cucumber
shaved
1 cupmatchstick cut carrots
6 tablespoonscanola mayonnaise
2 tablespoonssiracha sauce
1 tablespoonfresh lime juice
1 pound93% lean ground beef
2 tablespoonsolive oil
2 teaspoonsgarlic
grated
1 teaspoonfresh ginger
grated, peeled
¾ teaspoonblack pepper
cooking spray
4whole grain hamburger buns
split and toasted
1 ½ cupscilantro sprigs
loosely packed
2Serrano chilies
thinly sliced
Instructions
Step 1
1. Bring vinegar, 1/2 cup water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan over high. Combine cucumber and carrots and a heat proof bowl. Pour hot vinegar mixture over vegetables. Cover and chill at least 15 minutes are up to three days

2. Stir together mayonnaise, shriacha and lime juice. Set aside
Step 3
3. Preheat grill to medium high, about 450 degrees
Step 4
4. Combine beef, oil, garlic, ginger and black pepper in a bowl. Gently mix until ingredients are incorporated
Step 5
5. Shape into four patties. Place patties on a grilled grate coated with cooking spray. Grill, uncovered until thermometer registers 140 degrees, about 3 minutes per side
Step 6
6. Spread about one tablespoon of mayonnaise mixture on each half bun. Place Patty on each bun
Step 7
7. Drain cucumber mixture. Place about 1/4 cup on each burger next slide divides cilantro sprigs and chilies among the burgers
Step 8
8. Cover with top halves
