Instructions

Step 1
Cut the cabbage and set aside while you make the dressing. In a bowl add the mayonnaise, grated garlic, miso paste, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
Step 2
Prep the Trader Joe’s pork belly by cutting it into manageable pieces. I cut mine in half. Set aside.
Step 3
In a bowl add the rice flour and water and mix. Add the water gradually. You want the batter to be the consistency of crepe batter. In a separate plate, add the panko bread crumbs.
Step 4
Using the wet hand - dry hand technique, coat the pork belly in the batter, then roll it around in the bread crumbs. Place on a plate until all the pork belly has been breaded.
Step 5
Deep fry in oil at 350* F until golden brown. Place on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb excess oil. Season with a little salt while hot.
Step 6
In a bowl dress the cabbage with the dressing. Slice the pork belly into bite size pieces. Plate the cabbage and pork belly together and enjoy.
