For paste

12cashews

1 Tbspsesame seeds

1 Tbsppoppy seeds

⅓ cupcoconut powder
dry

½ cupoil

1 Tbspghee

1 tspcumin seeds

2cardamom

1 inchcinnamon stick

10black peppercorns

3cloves

400 gmonions
finely chopped

2 Tbspginger garlic paste

1kggoat

1 tspturmeric

2 Tbspred chilli powder

2 Tbspcoriander powder

salt
per taste

1tomato
roughly chopped

water
as needed

1 tspmeat masala

coriander leaves
Instructions
Step 1
Dry roast the cashews, sesame seeds, poppy seeds and dry coconut powder




Step 2
Grind this into a thick paste adding water as needed
Step 3
Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker


Step 4
Fry the whole spices in the oil





Step 5
Add finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown

Step 6
Add the ginger garlic paste and let the raw smell go away

Step 7
Add the goat and fry till it changes color

Step 8
Add turmeric, red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder. Mix well and fry

Add the prepared paste and fry well
Step 10
Add the tomato and mix well. Cook till the meat releases fat.

Step 11
Add 1/2 to 1 cup of water (just enough to submerge the meat. Too much will make the gravy watery)
Step 12
Lid on. Cook for 5-6 whistles.
Step 13
Let the steam completely escape before opening the cooker
Step 14
Thicken the gravy to your liking and sprinkle 1 tsp meat masala. Mix well

Step 15
Finish with coriander leaves
