Prep
Step 1
Remove top of pepper, seed, and cut in half (lengthwise)

Dice onion, mince garlic, and dice tomato (if canned, drain)

Preheat oven

Fill a small pot with water, boil, and put pepper halves in for 3 min
Step 5
Remove peppers from water and place on paper towel inverted to drain

Heat oil in 10" skillet and cook onions 2 min

Add garlic to skillet

Add beef to skillet. Add basil, oregano, and pepper. Cook until browned

Pour in tomatoes. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 5 min
Step 10
Remove skillet from heat and stir in 2 tbsp of the cheese. Spoon the mix into the pepper halves
Step 11
Place peppers in a greased 5x5 baking dish and sprinkle remaining cheese on top
Step 12
Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake 15 min
