Chopp the peppers into smaller pieces and throw them into a duch over or into any over proof pot. Everything will get blended to later on so don't worry about cutting the ingredients too small.

Into the same pot, throw in the tomatoes, garlic and 2/3 of the basil. Top with salt, sugar and olive oil, and mix everything until all the ingredients are coated. Place the pot into the over for approximately 30 min at 220 degrees celsius.

After 30 minutes, take the pot out of the oven. Blend the sauce to the desired consistency using a blender. Make sure to adjust salt and sugar levels according to your taste!

Boil some water into a large pot. Before adding the gnocchi, make sure to salt the water thoroughly. When the water is starting to boil, add the gnocchi and boil them according to the package instructions. You usually know they are ready when they start to float at the top.

Place the boiled gnocchi on a hot pan with some olive oil. This will give them a bit more texture. Mix them in the pan for 2 minutes, after which you can finally add the red sauce, until all the gnocchi is coated.
