Instructions

Step 1
Start by heating a pot of water for your pasta.
Step 2
When the water is boiling add the spaghetti. Cook until al dente.
Step 3
Once the pasta is cooked, rinse in cold water and then drain it.
Step 4
In the meantime, finely chop an onion, bell pepper, and 2 cloves of garlic.
Step 5
Cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic in a large deep skillet until fully cooked. As you are cooking it, use a potato masher to break meat into very small pieces.
Step 6
Move the beef to one side of the skillet and tilt it in order to separate the grease/liquid. Remove the grease with a spoon or by soaking it up with paper towels and discard.
Step 7
Add the Rao's sauce and drained pasta to the ground beef.
Step 8
Season with 1/2 tsp of black pepper and salt to taste. Stir.
Step 9
Cover with a lid and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Step 10
While the pasta and sauce cook, chop up lots and lots of basil. Set aside.
Step 11
Turn off the stove.
Step 12
Add the basil and toss.
Step 13
Top with parmesan cheese.
