Ingredients

For green Masala
¼ cupcoriander leaves
10garlic cloves
roughly chopped
2green chillies
roughly chopped
1 inchginger
piece, roughly chopped
1 tspsalt
For xacuti Masala
1.5onion
sliced
½ cupcoconut
freshly grated, half coconut
½ tspturmeric powder
10cloves
2 inchcinnamon stick
2green cardamom
1 tspblack pepper corns
½ Tbspwhite poppy seeds
0.25star anise
poppy flower
0.5mace
patri
¼ tspaniseeds
1 Tbspcoriander seeds
ground nutmeg
5dry kashmiri chillies

Instructions
Step 1
Grind the green masala in mixer grinder using sufficient water and apply it to chicken pieces. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Step 2
In a pan, add 2 tbsp oil and add onions and coconut. Fry till nicely browned. (use onion and coconut under Xacuti masala ingredients) Cool completely.
Step 3
Dry roast the remaining ingredients under Xacuti masala. (All the spices except turmeric powder) Cool completely
Step 4
Grind coconut onion mixture with roasted spices with sufficient water to a fine paste. Leave it aside.
Step 5
In a pot, add 3 tbsp oil and fry the Onion along with green chillies and curry leaves till onion are soft.
Step 6
Add the marinated chicken and cook covered for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Add the Xacuti masala paste and cook for 2 minutes. Then add about 1-1 ½ cups water, cover and cook for next 15-20 minutes till chicken is cooked.
Step 8
Add coriander leaves
Step 9
Serve with steamed basmati rice or bread enjoy!!❤️
