Instructions

Step 1
Marinate chicken with turmeric, juice of half a lemon and salt to taste for 45 mins - 1 hr
Step 2
Dry roast dhania, jeera, spices and red chili. Once fragrant, add coconut and poppy seeds
Step 3
Grind to coarse powder
Step 4
Heat 2 tbs oil, add handful of curry leaves and a large, thinly sliced onion
Step 5
Once onion is translucent, add ginger garlic paste and fry till fragrant
Step 6
Add marinated chicken and stir on high heat for 2 mins. Add finely chopped tomato
Step 7
Turn heat to medium and stir for 3-4 mins till tomatoes start breaking down. Add chettinad masala and mix
Step 8
Cover and cook till chicken is tender. Add sat to taste. Add half cup water if needed.
Step 9
Garnish with fresh curry leaves
