Instructions
Step 1
1. Making the batter, in a bowl mix the 4 eggs, flour, milk and salt until a smooth runny consistency
Step 2
2. Leave to rest for 15 minutes, whilst that’s resting pour some crisp and dry into your Yorkshire tin or dish about 0.5 cm covering of the bottom of the dish…. Also get your sausages on a separate tray ready for the oven to be part cooked

3. Get the dish and tray in the oven at 180 for 15minutes to heat up
Step 4
4. Just before the oil and sausages are ready just give the batter a quick whip to get a bit of air into it
Step 5
5. Take the dish out of the oven (be careful with this hot oil). then try and pour the batter in the dish as evenly as possible going around the outside of the dish first .... then place the sausages in the batter and quickly get back in the oven
Step 6
6. Do this as quickly and safely as possible and get back in the oven for 25-30 minutes
Step 7
7. I place the dish on the bottom rack of the oven, DON’T open the door for atleast 25 minutes as this can cause it to sink
Step 8
8. Hopefully after 25 minutes you are left with a stunning toad in the hole
Step 9
