Instructions
Step 1
Thaw the frozen paneer to room temperature. Place it between paper towels to remove excess water.
Step 2
Cut into bite size squares ( 1”x1”). Sprinkle salt and chili powder and keep it aside to marinate for about 5-10 minutes. Chop the onion and peppers roughly the same size.
Step 3
In another bowl, whisk the tougher. Add red chili powder. I use the mild flavorful Kashmiri chili powder for the vibrant color.
Step 4
Also add to the yogurt, ginger and garlic paste, freshly chopped cilantro, 1 teaspoon carom seeds and a bit of salt. Whisk well till combined.
Step 5
Gently add in the paneer to this mixture and give it a toss. Add the peppers and onions and again gently toss till the marinade sticks to all the pieces.
Step 6
Allow this mixture to marinate for minimum 30 minutes. Can marinate overnight in the refrigerator. If you are using bamboo skewers, soak the skewers in water at the same time.
Step 7
Pre- heat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 370 deg F. Arrange alternating pieces of paneer, onions and peppers on the skewers.
Step 8
Spray the inside tray of the air fryer with olive oil and place the prepared skewers on it. Alternatively, individual pieces of paneer, onions and peppers too can be placed on the tray.
Step 9
Spray the top with olive oil and air fry it for 10 minutes, turning them over after 5 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on the air fryer.
Step 10
The skewers can also be baked at 350 deg F. For about 10
Minutes in a pre heated oven
Step 11
Squeeze lemon juice on top at time of serving
